The author does a great job of getting into the nuts and bolts of flying the aircraft, but never gets too dry with technical details. It was great to see this other perspective. The Apache has so long been a symbol of American air superiority I just assumed the book was by an American pilot. This book is written by a British pilot and follows the British military. One of the first things I realized when I started this book happened to be a pleasant surprise. This book does a really good job of getting you up close and personal with the machine. ![]() The Apache has always been one of my favorite aircraft, it's ugly and it's brutal. ![]() I love technology, and the military has some of the best of it. ![]() |
